About Me

Hi, I’m Maggie DiStasi.  I’m a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) specializing in leadership development, career development for leaders, and coaching skills training.  Before making a career transition to coaching in 2009, I built a successful first career in finance, and held the role of Vice President, Technology in the Capital Markets division of a major Canadian bank.

I work with mid- and senior level leaders, often as they need support around taking on a new role or designing and championing a strategic initiative.  My clients want to level up their skills and presence for increased confidence and greater impact.  This may include creating more collaborative connections with their teams and executives, managing their own energy and reactivity for more effective leadership, and developing the bigger picture thinking required to lead at their level.

With a particular interest in mindfulness to support effective leadership, I completed an Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist certificate at University of Toronto, where I also completed a certificate in Strategic Leadership Advanced.  I designed and deliver an impactful workshop called “Leading Mindfully to Manage Overwhelm and Respond Creatively.”

As Co-Principal of PeopleDynamics Learning Group and Lead Faculty for the Business Coaching Advantage™ Program, I enjoy mentoring leaders and professional coaches-in-training to develop the skills required to earn their coaching credential.

I value open-mindedness and non-judgment, and I’m known for a deep capacity for self-reflection and awareness-creating.  I bring a sense of humor into my work with clients that makes personal and professional change creative and accessible.  After an early life experience with advanced stage cancer, I learned an important lesson about valuing the quality of our present experience.  I help my clients become present in the moment to take stock of what exists now and find the courage to nurture their true ambitions.

A word from Maggie's clients

"I was fortunate enough to participate in Maggie’s leadership coaching program. I can’t tell you how this program has impacted my attitude and focus to becoming the fearless leader that I naturally am. I learned so much more about how my insecurities are growth opportunities to better myself and appreciate who I am. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in becoming the ultimate leader!"

-- Anju Sohal, Manager, Rogers Communications Inc.

"Initially, I was looking for practical career transition tips. What I got from Maggie was an exploration of skills, abilities and creativity through a process of discovery. Her careful listening punctuated with poignant questions extracted from me what I needed to know. Confidence. Purpose. Wow! Nosce te ipsum. (know thyself)."
